The Trial by Frost Tumult Championships are on the way, as local game stores will be able to begin scheduling events soon. The tournaments will be run at individual stores globally between April 5 to May 11.

Confirmations were initially expected to be delivered by March 7, but some final internal tests are being run before pushing the event live to LGSs, according to Cedric Leblanc, Equinox’s new organized play director. The goal is to open it to LGSs for scheduling in the Altered application by the end of this week.

If your LGS hasn’t applied to take part in the Tumult Championships, this means there’s still time for them to connect with their rep and submit a request. It represents a chance to bring together players from across your region for competitive play and the opportunity to win some great exclusive prizes, as well as influence which factions the dragon Kuraokami will support.

There’s no minimum tournament size, accommodating groups of smaller than eight players. It’s important for your LGS to go through their distributor to organize the event, as that’s the only way to get the rewards and make sure your factions support the Kuraokami event. Stores must request the special event kit; it won’t be automatically shipped by distributors.

Wrapping the Tumult Championships up in the middle of May leaves roughly one month between the end of the event and the release of the new Whispers from the Maze set on June 6.
