Online tournaments once again qualify for the Altered Tournament Support program, according to a second update to the program’s page. Online events and others like it, such as demos, can meet the conditions for a standard kit if they are associated and organized through a Pro Shop Account (a local game store account).

Beyond the possibility of a standard kit through the sponsorship program, any event organized through a store’s account is eligible for an Adventure Pass, and participating players are able to receive points.

Equinox representatives have not issued any comment related to the change, but posted about the update on the company’s socials.

The change comes after an earlier shift in the page’s language that removed online tournaments from eligibility for support through the program. Online events were still able to offer Adventure Pass progress in that change.

Organizers are encouraged to contact a local game shop first to present and get support for their project. The program is meant to provide additional prize support to draw more players to events.
