New community project tracks WFM Tumult Champion details
Share your Whispers from the Maze Tumult Championship results with the community through a new effort by Eazy to bring more data about the competition to players. While it’s not meant to be comprehensive or scientific, community reports will help players get a sense for some of the details of their Tumults as well as where specific heroes tend to rank.
Once a Tumult Championship you’ve attended has completed, head to the Google Form and share as many details about the event as you’re able. Try to take note of which hero showed up at which ranks while you’re at the competition to be able to add those details.
The goal of the project is to collect as much data as possible to make available for the community and content creators, according to Eazy.
The WFM Tumults, running from Aug. 15-Sept. 14, have hundreds of events running globally during the duration, bringing local players together for lower-stakes competitive play with exclusive rewards. Those include the brand-new playable Faction Champion cards. Tournaments can be found by using the Altered.gg Event Locator, with more being added as additional local game stores join in.
While the results of the Trial by Frost Tumult Championship shared the winning factions, it was tougher to tell some of the additional details, such as which heroes led the way, or what regions saw the most players coming together.
Tumult Championships have no minimum number of players, and can still be run by LGS owners throughout the duration of the competition. To launch a Tumult event, LGS owners must contact their Altered distribution partner to request a Tumult kit; if you’re a player who wants to see a Tumult Championship in your area, this is the step you need to encourage your LGS to take. Once a distribution partner has validated the registration, the event can be created through the Event Manager platform. Organizing through the distribution partner is the only way to receive the Tumult kit rewards.
