App update streamlines searching collection, marketplace
A new update to the Altered app and website make it easier to track collections and navigate the Marketplace, according to a news post. The goal is to make accessing the online card collection similar to leafing through binders. The update is part of ongoing improvements for players’ accounts, reaching more milestones set by the development team in the game’s first year.
Marketplace and navigation
With this update, the Cards and Marketplace tabs have been merged to streamline sorting through collections and tracking down needed cards. The full card list is shown on the tab at a glance with a few key points, including the current cheapest price available for the card, as well as buttons for buying and selling.
The Card tab includes several new display options along with navigation features to make it easier to work with. Card displays can be toggled between the full card view (showing the art and text of the card) or a new tile view (typically used on the older Marketplace tab for quick reference). The number of cards can now be increased from the standard 36 to 72 or 108, and the sorting selector has been refined to make it easier to arrange cards as needed.
One of the new filters includes the option to sort only for cards that have active offers available, making it easier to browse for cards that can be purchased.
Collection interface
As the full sets are now displayed in the Cards tab, cards not owned have a grey overlay to show at a glance which aren’t represented in the collection at all. Mousing over them, acquiring or purchasing them shows the art in full color, as does checking out the cards while not being logged in.
Marking a card to add it to the want list no longer requires multiple clicks, as a “add to favorite” heart icon is located below each card’s display. The set filters, some of the most useful ones available to players, are displayed under the search bar, making them easier to reach in fewer clicks as well.
New wallet pause and future updates
Although the Marketplace is easier to access, new wallet creation is temporarily on hold while security and verification systems are improved, according to a social media update. Wallet creation will be coming back along with some new major updates to be revealed “very soon,” according to the post.
News related to the new direct preorder platform coming for Set 5 on Gamefound will be shared Oct. 15. Lokinox provided additional details related to the new distribution plans in the days following the initial announcement.
