Equinox lowers Print-on-Demand costs with new group orders
Equinox launched Group Print-on-Demand orders, providing another option to lower printing and shipping costs while reaching another digital milestone for the team. The service is available now, online just in time for the next print date, which closes Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. Paris time.
The new option makes it easier for players to work out card sharing, and provides a way for players who want to only order a few cards to get what they need without waiting to fill a 20-card pack on their own. It also allows players with alternate art and limited-print cards to have them printed more easily.
How group orders work
New orders as well as those that are currently ongoing can be set up as Group Print-on-Demand by clicking the “Manage Group POD” button found with the other order settings. Each player is able to host one Group Print-on-Demand order of their own at a time, but can join any number of orders run by others at once.
In the new dialogue, search for the full player ID of the person to be invited, and click “Add” to bring them into the order. Participants can also be removed from a group order by the host, and any of their cards already included will be automatically deleted.
The host can add and remove packs as well as make any direct edits needed to the order. Users who have joined can add or delete their own cards, which are labeled by username to make it easy to keep ordered sorted.
Currently, the host pays for the full order and collects their funds from other users outside of the Altered platform. The order page tracks how many cards each player added to the order, making determining the cost split easier.
Continued service development
The new service marks another milestone for the development team, on top of the Marketplace upgrades made recently that improved how collections are sorted and sold. The team is working on expanding the list of countries eligible for both Marketplace and Print-on-Demand services, with an announcement coming soon.
New wallet activations are back online after security and verification systems updates, according to a social media post.
