Decklist display sees update

Decklists displays have new options after upgrades this week as updates continue to come for the Altered website and app. Marketplace and Print-on-Demand services have gone global, and an October update streamlined how collections are displayed.

Constructed decks on the website and app now display their lists differently, giving more ways to see a build at once. Now, the default view for a decklist shows each card fully (including the card art and text) and quantity stacked together. The view also automatically displays the full text for uniques, making it easier to quickly get a sense for the main mechanics of a deck and how it interacts with unique abilities.

The previous default view, providing the decklist in a smaller “block” style, is still available for screencaps and reference under the “Share deck” button, which also provides a link and QR code for quick sharing.

These updates come to the deckbuilder platform after about a year of use by players to develop decks to use in Board Game Arena as well as official checks at in-person tournaments. While it provides the capability to swap out cards on the fly for testing, it also lists quick stats about the deck, making it easier to understand its mana curve as well as region and card type breakdowns. When looking at a shared decklist, a player can use the “Duplicate” button to create a version of the deck in their personal lists, which they can then modify to match the cards they own.

Along with the earlier Marketplace streamlining, new options have been added that allow players to toggle the greyscale mode for unowned cards as needed.
