Print-on-Demand evolves as RoC Gamefound breaks $437k
The Print-on-Demand service is seeing significant changes, adding two guaranteed print dates per season and retiring the foiler system fully, according to an update post in the Roots of Corruption Gamefound campaign. The individual backers drive broke 380,000 euros (about $437,000) reaching two more stretch goals with three days remaining.
Print-on-Demand evolution
Beginning this month, a Print-on-Demand printing slot can be triggered in the following ways:
- Volume: A total of 2,000 packs are ordered
- Manually set date (guaranteed to happen at least twice per season)
The goal is to provide at least two printing slots each season regardless of order volume, likely around the end of the first and third months of each set’s four-month life cycle. Those dates might shift somewhat if three or more slots are triggered in the same cycle, but at least two printing waves are guaranteed with each set going forward.
The next guaranteed printing slot is set for early April, closing March 31 at 11:59 CET.
The Foiler system has officially been retired, allowing all cards in a collection to be added to foil packs in Print-on-Demand orders. For the rest of 2026, there will be no price difference between foil and standard Print-on-Demand packs, regardless of rarity. Foiler cards themselves will no longer show up in booster packs, and scanning one will no longer add it to a collection, as of March 19. Foiler cards already in collections will be hidden by default but still accessible via direct URLs.
Adding cards to a Print-on-Demand pack now opens with a filter that prioritizes recently acquired cards that have been purchased digitally but not yet printed, making it easier to add them to orders.
Print-on-Demand services went global along with the Marketplace in November 2025, expanding their range to more than 110 countries. They’ve been in limited beta since April 2025. The same update added Group Orders, streamlining the ordering process to improve shipping costs.
Gamefound growth
With more than 1,300 backers, the individual campaign reached two more stretch goals, including the following:
- A Shattered Stigma treatment is guaranteed in all Special Boosters, which can be found at a rate of 1:144.
- Six new Evil Eye card treatments have been unlocked, bringing the total number of those treatments to 24 for the set. The cards can be found in Collector Boosters and Gamefound Toppers.
The next stretch goal, unlocking at 390,000 euros (about $449,000), adds a Kickstarter edition Beyond the Gates booster to each display.
Next steps
The retailer-specific portion of the campaign ended March 16, and the total raised by retailers will be shared March 18. That allows individual backers to have additional time to modify their pledges until the full campaign closes March 20.
The overall goal of the campaign is about 2 million euros (about $2.3 million) across both individual and retailer pledges. Players can choose to preorder the RoC set directly from Equinox through the Gamefound campaign or purchase from their local game store. Retailers have a separate set of preorder tiers which give them a wider range of options over individual buyers.
