We’re a small team of Card Game enthusiasts who started with Altered TCG around the same time.

I’m a casual player of board games and TCGs. I’m a big fan of gaming as a way to share space with friends to catch up and have a good time together. I do a little bit of game design of my own, and I’ve been working on my own Altered tokens off and on as well. I really enjoy how Altered can feel like playing a competitive puzzle, and the inclusive community it’s developed. I run a regional Discord server as well for Altered.

Gavken

I’m Gavken on most forms of social contact and I’m a player of all kinds of games – RPGs, Board Games and Card Games. I started with MtG back in 1994 and finally game it up in 2016. In between times I played around 30 different TCGs. I swore off ever playing any more TCGs and then 2 years ago I saw Altered premiere at GenCon via the BGG article. I was instantly intrigied by the Unique concept and loved the gameplay. I do a bit of everything, playing the game, getting into the lore, watching the marketplace for Uniques, a bit of amateur game design as well as dabbling in a bit of Cosplay. I also run the UK Altered Discord.

By chance I read about Altered in August of 2024. Having played Keyforge before I was immediately intrigued by the “different” game concept and digital components. Luckily the city I live in had a store that not only heard about the game but had also ordered some product. So I took it upon myself to find others to enjoy the game with. After some time we even got a second store to pick up the game and with about a dozen players in our great community the game is a lot of fun! (Image credit: The great Gnomeschool)

Karifur

Bonjour, hello, I am Karifur. My husband Ian & I stumbled across Altered in late 2022 and instantly fell in love with everything about it; we even went to GenCon in 2024 just so we could play as much Altered as possible before its release and that’s how I earned the nickname “Tokens Lady” (because of the tokens I gave away at the convention). As much as I love the game I consider myself a very casual player. I’ll probably be mostly behind-the-scenes here on the blog but perhaps I will chime in occasionally with my thoughts when a filthy casual’s opinion is needed.

The Coin Pusher

Hey there, I’m The Coin Pusher (on YouTube) or BorisYeah (on most other platforms). I started with TCGs way back in 1994 with the Star Trek CCG and 1995’s Star Wars CCG, both by Decipher Inc. I collected Pokemon for more than 25 years and was an active Disney Lorcana player and judge for 2 years. The uniqueness of Altered is what drew me into this game and made me want to start this blog along with Marc. In my non-Altered days I play Gundam GCG now as well.

The Bravos Hatter

Who am I? Marc, Bravos enthousiast and mad like a Hatter. I love playing TCG’s, but foremost I love meeting new people. When I saw Altered I was instantly hooked by the divine art and refreshing game style. To connect with people I started the Dutch community Discord server and via this content hub I will try to bring fun and inspiring Altered related content.
