Fen wins ACE Week 2

Kaystno teamed up with Fen to win in the ACE Season 3 Week 2 event on Board Game Arena on March 9. TheKelonGuy worked with Afanas to take second place in the 37-player event, and Ricky Locky (Kojo) and Fre3loder (Kojo) tied for third and fourth.

The event was played in a single elimination style, with wins each week accumulating to qualify for the season-end invitational. The first place player each week wins a TBF booster pack. It was streamed on the Altered Corner channel with commentary by Cohlrabi.

According to 39cards.com, Kojo had the most representation among the top eight decks with three players, while Fen took the next spot with two. Afanas, Sigismar and Teija filled the remaining standings. Kojo and Teija had the most representation overall at six decks each, followed by Sigismar at five and Afanas and Fen at four.

Kaystno’s winning deck is a pocketknife of different modes of attack with only a few cards getting played at the full three copies. Among those are common Hathor and Anansi, and rare Ouroboros Inkcaster, Aloe Vera and Magical Training. Most of these have strong interactions with a full reserve, such as Anansi putting down stats and others rescuing cards from reserve. Other rares in the deck included one Cernunnos, two Sleight of Hand, two Off You Go and one Small Step, Giant Leap. The deck is also supported by two Magpeng Hoarder uniques that bounce cards from reserve and sabotage, respectively, and an Alice unique that discards opponent characters.

A total of 85% of all cards played came from BTG, with 15% showing up from TBF.
