Four weeks remain to complete WFM Adventure Pass

With the prerelease of Skybound Odyssey starting Sept. 26, only about four weeks remain to complete as much of the Season 3 Adventure Pass as possible. If you’re running out of time to make it to Level 15 to get all of your alternate art cards, here are three ways to log a few more steps on the track.

Online events

Some of the regular online tournaments hosted on Board Game Arena like the AWOL and ACE offer Adventure Pass levels. Each weekly tournament gives the opportunity not just to pick up an advancement on the track after a few rounds, but also the chance to test your deck against competitive players from around the world at no cost. The decklists for the top players in those tournaments are also collected on 39cards.com, bringing additional insight into which decks are making the biggest impacts, as well as what new archetypes might be interesting.

Tumult Championships

The Whispers from the Maze Tumult Championships are running from Aug. 15-Sept. 14, giving players a few more weeks to track down a local event to join through the Event Locator. Not only are there new exclusive rewards to reach for like the playable, stamped Faction Champion cards, but the faction that wins the most will directly impact the game’s ongoing lore and possibly earn a brand-new card to work with. There’s still enough time for your local game store to get a Tumult Kit through their Altered distribution partner, and no minimum number of players. If you’re not sure what deck to play, try out one of our suggestions. Once you’ve finished your local event, make sure to share the details in a new community project.

Local organized play

Standard organized play through your LGS is available for the Season 3 Adventure Pass right up to the SKY prerelease Sept. 26. While the suggested approach is typically standard deck competition, it might be fun to change things up and do a draft, sealed or other limited mode such as a booster war. At this point in the season, it’s possible that a player can build a cube for the group to work with. Players could also test out the new Conquest format to be used in the World Championship Finals, Oct. 17-19.

The WFM Adventure Pass changed up the rewards from previous seasons, removing the player badges but making it much easier to get at least one copy of the alt-art common, rare and out-of-faction promos by Level 5. Reaching Level 15 unlocks a full playset of each in a single faction.
