Get your LGS ready to compete in the Tumult Championships
The Trial by Frost Tumult Championships were announced Feb. 18 alongside other new opportunities like the Altered Tournament Sponsorship Program and an update for the Marketplace and Print-on-Demand beta. With all that good news, it might be easy for a local game store owner or distributor to get confused.
If you’re uncertain whether your LGS qualifies for the Tumult Championships, here are some details about how an LGS can organize the event, including how to follow-up if the kit is denied.
- There is no minimum number of players required to qualify. The event can accommodate groups smaller than eight players, running four rounds of best-of-one Swiss play.
- LGS owners should contact their Altered distribution partner to request the opportunity to organize Tumult Championship.
- Confirmations should be delivered via email by March 7, and the event should be able to be created within the Altered application.
If your LGS gets a report of a Tumult Championship denial, email marketing@equinox.fr with the name of the store and the concern. The team will escalate it appropriately from that point. It’s possible that an LGS will be denied a kit based on factors other than player count.
