Retail update to come Nov. 12, free shipping added

Retail and local game store orders for Altered’s Seeds of Unity Gamefound campaign closed Nov. 10, but individual backer pledges are still open until Nov. 14. If your LGS missed the deadline, your best option for the new set is to preorder directly through Gamefound. Backers pushed the individual pledge total past 650,000 euros (about $750,000) in the hours afterward, reaching another stretch goal level.

Though the deadline for retail set preorders is past, the total results from those orders won’t be shared until Nov. 12, after the national holiday of Armistice Day. The extended individual pledge deadline was extended to give backers more context around global retailer support before the last few days of the campaign.

Shipping improvements

Orders of more than 549 euros (about $634) qualify for free shipping, according to a new update. The shipping fees will be adjusted at the end of the campaign, during the pledge manager phase. The Gamefound platform will automatically apply the adjustment once the timeline has closed.

The change makes it easier to build a larger pledge through add-ons without worries of scaling up shipping costs. It also improves options for a group of backers to build an order together to save overall. The Supreme Pack, which includes six SEEDS displays and six collector boosters, automatically reaches the free shipping threshold. A pack and add-ons like collector boosters or one of the remaining Woollyback plushes will push in that direction as well.

Next stretch goal

While we won’t have an update on retailer totals until Nov. 12, backers have made progress toward the next stretch goal at 650,000 euros. The total crossed the mark several times overnight, and sat within less than 100 euros at the time of posting. The previous goal was unlocked Nov. 6, adding a random SEEDS unique to each display as a box topper, in addition to Skybound Odyssey organized play promo boosters and a random full art card from either Beyond the Gates or Trial by Frost.
