Skybound Odyssey card details, Adventure Pass updates in July changelog
New filtering options and updates to how Adventure Pass points are calculated are among the top notes in a July changelog for the Altered website and mobile app. One of the updates covers a top request of players, providing the capability to filter a collection by ownership to determine which cards still lack a full playset.
Adventure Pass changes
The Adventure Pass points calculation system has been updated with an additional change to how they’re collected for each player. Points are now checked weekly and at the end of each season, rather than updating in real time upon being validated. Players are encouraged to check with event organizers to make certain that past events have been both completed and validated so they’re counted with the new system. The Adventure Pass system has been an ongoing target for developers, as it has struggled to correctly display players’ updated totals in both the Trial by Frost and Whispers from the Maze sets.
Filtering options
The new filtering options launches one of the options most-requested by players: filtering cards based on the quantity of a particular card you own. The filter allows players to search for cards where you have zero, less than three or more than three, making it much easier to tell which cards you’re still missing a full playset of. Using this filter within the Marketplace is a quick way to complete your collection.
Cards from Skybound Odyssey that have already been revealed are now available as a filter as well, including all six new heroes. Each revealed character includes its common, rare and out-of-faction versions, such as Muna’s new Armored Bird. Tokens that have been revealed are also included, including the Armored Bird’s new partner, the majestic Woollyback. The Details pages for each SKY card has been updated as well with the common, rare and unique art shared in the Lore section. Currently revealed SKY cards are also being collected in our Skybound Odyssey spoiler post.
Other new filter updates allow players to sort cards by their errata classification and by those available as a specific event reward (such as the World Championship Series 2025). An artist filter that was not functioning properly has been fixed.
One change affects how errata are classified and displayed on the website and app, separating updates into “functional” and “balance errata.” Functional errata, indicated by a small brush icon in the Rulings and Clarifications section on the card’s Details page, covers those situations where wording has shifted slightly without changing how the card interacts in gameplay, such as common and rare Tiny Jinn. The current printing of Tiny Jinn changes a “When I leave the Expedition Zone” to “If I would leave the Expedition zone.” Balance errata, indicated by a small weighing scales icon, describes a more substantial change made to manage a card’s impact on the game, such as Waru & Mack. Waru, whose ability was changed in the Trial by Frost season patch, went from being able to choose whether a Bureaucrat subtype character would gain asleep on play plus an additional Ordis Recruit at Noon to “When you play a Bureaucrat – It gains Asleep.”
Developer tools
The Developer Portal, a project that allows players to submit potential projects using access to the official public API, is available in beta. The current APIs include card data, deck information and marketplace offers.
The update includes an open data initiative with a comprehensive export of all publicly available card data, including uniques. The export, updated weekly in a JSON structure, makes it easier and more stable for those building tools that provide search and deckbuilding capabilities, rather than reverse-engineering official website listings.
Altered has had ongoing support from third-party player developers since the game’s launch, including platforms such as 39cards.com and Altered TCG Builder.
