Who’s who in Axiom

This is a new series to dig a little into the Altered lore to list out who all the characters are so you have an easy guide. The idea is that it will mainly look at the heroes, the modern inhabitants of the world and eidelons from the recent past. Axiom doesn’t have a large list of characters as they have a lot of robots and creatures instead; however, I will list all that I can find.

The Axiom Heroes

Treyst – Treyst and his friend Paju were younger orphan dreamers. Paju wanted to be a pilot and Treyst became infected by that dream too, both joining the Axiom. Paju became a pilot but Treyst was rejected because of his poor vision so sought to be a navigator. They were selected to join the Fulcrum, the Faction’s branch dedicated to the Expeditionary Corps. The Kraken’s tentacle however took out the aircraft when going over water, and though Treyst was able to crash land it, Paju was killed and he was left with a broken back.

The accident left him reliant on a wheelchair. He made mechanical prosthetics powered by Kelon to improve the daily lives of others like himself. Treyst took part in an experiment led by Dr. Frankenstein with the aim of incarnating Eidolons in physical objects. Instead of a character from the world of imagination, a Chimera, became trapped inside the metal shell. Believing it to be his fault, Treyst is determined to help this being, called Rossum, to get back home… even though it means leaving the safety of the Foundry to face the unknown.

Sierra – she is a talented engineer. Born in a Lyra caravan to a puppeteer father Efren, she chose to join the Axiom after seeing their technological marvels at the Faction’s grand science and technology fair, specialising in robotics. She lost her legs in a Tumult anomaly and although the Lyra were able to heal her they could not save her legs. The Axiom however were able to create prosthetic legs for her and her curiosity for machines grew, gaining sponsorship to the Parallax, the Axiom Guild specifically working on Alteration.  She is looking for the legendary City of Light on her journey with the rediscovery expedition.

Subhash – Raised in Suspira, he is known to be temperamental, dry and gruff. Born to a mom in construction management and a nurse father, Bash was the fourth child in a family of six. He believed that Suspira could become a paradise. He found a wounded puppy missing its hind legs, who he helped and later became his alter ego (Marmo). He worked in the Suspira quarries for 8 years (maximum allowed) and then made a choice to go to the capital and then onto the rediscovery expedition.

The Asgarthan People and Eidelons

The Foundry Engineer has some very important secrets to share in her lore. First and less importantly Irun started life as one of the Lyra before joining the Axiom. Secondly, she voluntarily went through a metamorphosis ceremony that saw her changed by the Tumult to have horns and a snake body.

Alas Foundry Mechanic and Axiom Salvager do not have names in the lore. Jian Lam is an Eidelon from around 300 years ago when he designed a lot of the bridges and structures in Asgartha.

The Foundry Armorer is called Tess (Tessalit Girum) and also on her card we get the name of Treyst’s friend Paju who also wanted to learn to be a pilot in the rediscovery expedition, but alas died (Kelonic Generator). It seems that Tess was involved in the stealing of the Phoenix egg from the Haven and has been taken in for questioning.

FarFetch Mk 1 is an automaton created by Sierra to perform remote tasks and is described on Hooked.

Aberdeen is Sierra’s apprentice as shown on Mechanical Training.

I’m sure you all know the name Vaike, Energy Pioneer but did you know that her name is Vaike Swiftwater? Also she is an Eidelon who had invented the energy source for all Axiom devices.

Aby is a young engineer, and former friend of Sierra’s. She is currently being manifested by Sierra as an eidelon and utilised as a courier of the Sap at present.

Icarus is an eidelon inventor who it seems is brilliant but lacks safety procedures.

Falani – An Axiom in charge of building the mobile lab units.

Bash – An Axiom engineer investigating the propeties of the Sap.

Hamisu – The prosthetist who created Sierra’s first artificial legs and sponsored her into the Axiom.
