Print-on-Demand orders reach players through public beta

The first round of Print-on-Demand orders from the new public beta are beginning to land in mailboxes and doorsteps globally, fulfilling another milestone for the Altered team. Members in the official Discord server have been sharing photos and reports of their packs, including some of the first official foiled cards available to players.

The orders have also provided a sneak peek into a few of the unrevealed uniques for the upcoming WFM set through the bonus pack launch offer. The program includes a random unique from WFM with each order placed through the first printing date in July. The uniques can be scanned into player accounts but are unable to be used until the set pre-release May 30.

The initial printing included leftover orders made during earlier private beta phases that did not complete during the term. Check out our FAQ on how to get the most out of the Marketplace and Print-on-Demand services.

Ongoing development

The open beta of both Print-on-Demand and the online Marketplace has been available to the public since April 25. Players can print and foil any card from their collection, including exclusive art cards and the seasonal Adventure Pass rewards, though those cards have annual limits on printing.

The next available print slot will begin its run June 10, according to the current Print-on-Demand page. Each slot can accommodate 5,000 packs through Equinox’s partnership with Cartamundi.

The team has plans for additional improvements to the services, such as the following:

  • opening the platforms to countries without current access
  • allowing players to share purchases to lower fees
  • improving the filtering and searching systems
  • increasing the $250 price ceiling for listing cards
  • improving navigation and user experience.

Print-on-Demand has been a central part of Altered’s platform since the game’s initial reveal in 2023, and has been a major goal of the Equinox team since its public release last September. It has seen multiple private tests and revisions, and has been a consistent focus of discussion in Equinox team AMAs.
